Today we did a staggered run through. Within this we had to think about the moments of change over. Describe how you change over in between scenes and evaluate what you think it looks like. What will the audience understand from this.
Today was slightly hindered by cast members not knowing their lines.
I would like your to write 3 targets for next lesson. What do you need to do?
Please focus on character, energy and line learning!
If you can, please bring any props that might be needed...

Rehearsal 4 - 10th January
Well done on a great attitude back to the rehearsal process. We are in a great position having blocked the show. There are a few things you need to reflect on in order to continue your blogs.
Today we started off by focusing on the opening sequence of the performance. You worked with your character groups to develop your introduction moment. What did you change/develop about your piece and why?
What props/costume have you decided that are significant to your character and how will you use them in the opening sequence and what message will the prop/costume give to the audience? What do you want the audience to understand about the character from what you decide to use? How might the prop/costume be used throughout the rest of the performance?
Please remember to try and find anything you think your character needs and bring them to rehearsal next week!
You then went on to rehearse a scene. Reflect on what has got better, and what do you needed to improve your character further? This might be line learning, analysing your script, understanding who you are speaking to, writing down your given direction onto your script.
Keep up the hard work Year 10... 4 rehearsals to go...

Actor’s Notes...
Here are the notes that I made during our run through in the last rehearsal. They are for individual actors, therefore find your name and read through what I have said. You should cut and paste your notes on to your own blog and write a comment about how you will develop your acting to change what I have asked you to do.
Notes to follow very shortly...
